Steal my electricity will you?! ~strangles~

So I got a note from the office at my apartment complex yesterday saying that they needed to do some electrical work in my apartment today. I thought it might have soemthing to do with the faulty air conditioning, so I welcomed it. Turns out that they installed power for the (outside) sprinkler system incorrectly, so they needed to bore a hole thru my wall, and leech off of MY power supply to run them temporarily. So they can invade my privacy to inconvience me and steal my electric, but they cant fix my fucking air conditioner? I mean seriously, WTF?!

Talk with the management of the apartment complex to ensure you aren't charged for the electricity they use. Approach them in a reasonable manner about it, and I'm sure they won't.

Of course, if you ARE charged for the power they use on the lawns, I'm sure there are legal fallbacks, but try the reasonable approach first.

Also note that the power drain by a sprinkler control system is pretty minimal. A typical system (the one at my house, for example) runs at ½A = 60W.

Ya know, the sad thing too is that I live in a relativly upscale apt complex that I pay thru the nose for. These are not shit apartments and I still get treated like crap. I can't wait until I decide where I want to settle down and buy my own fucking house. Fuck this apartment shit.

Im gonna talk to them on Sunday, since thats the only time the office is open that Im not at work. I'll probabally amke a post about the results.
